Medical Transcriptionist

Program Information

This Board of Governors certificate will provide you with the theoretical and practical knowledge using simulated case studies to prepare you for a future in medical transcription. This program has several prerequisites. Students are advised that each transcription course will require in excess of eight hours of work per week. These changes are being made to better prepare students for the workload later in the certificate and to help the student develop the highest level transcription skills that are required in the industry. A total of 14 courses are required to obtain this certificate. Please Note: All courses are available on a full or part-time basis and are offered online.

Credentials College-Approved Certificate

Residency Students must complete a minimum number of credits in this program with their registering college to meet the Program Residency requirement to graduate from the program.

Completion All courses must be completed within 7 years of acceptance into the program.
