Conversation French

Program Information

Canadore College offers a certificate program in conversational French. The courses are designed for English-speaking participants wishing to communicate “en Français” in the workplace and in everyday situations. Participants practice speaking French, progressing through stages from the basic, but most useful, structures of the language to more complex forms of expression. At the completion of the certificate program, participants should be able to ask questions and discuss day-to-day activities that relate to both work situations and social activities. All courses are offered through online studies.

Completion Time Limits For Completing Credential 3.8.1 The standard time limit for completion of a credential is twice the normal length of the program in which the student is enrolled. The College cannot guarantee that courses or programs will be available for a student to complete graduation requirements after this time. A student who completes beyond the specified time limit will be required to meet the program requirements at the time of credentialing. This may require that the student repeat certain courses, complete additional courses, or follow a new or revised program of study.
