Aboriginal Culture & Relationships (BoG)

Program Information

The Aboriginal Culture and Relationships Board of Governors’ Certificate, is designed to enhance student knowledge in terms of relationship building in business and industry with Aboriginal people and communities. Students will formulate a deeper understanding of the diversity and history that influence these relationships. Students will increase their knowledge of important issues within the Aboriginal cultures of Canada, as well as explore the legal status of Aboriginal Peoples including such topics as Aboriginal rights and self-determination. In addition, students are introduced to the Anishnaabe prophecy that discusses the relationship between Native and non-Native people, and the need for both groups to understand and learn from one another.

Credentials College-Approved Certificate

Residency Students must complete a minimum number of credits in this program with their registering college to meet the Program Residency requirement to graduate from the program.

Completion All courses must be completed within 7 years of acceptance into the program.
