Hello

My name is ____________ and I am looking forward to being your instructor this semester. 

I am a part-time teacher with _______________(name of college(s) via OntarioLearn. My educational background is in psychology (B.A.) and education (M.Ed.). The focus of both my undergraduate and graduate education has centered upon the research and investigation of particular aspects of _____________. My focus and interests have included various topics in the fields of ________________. Teaching has been a natural progression from my passion for being a student. You might say it has been my hobby for a number of years. Some people play the piano, some play a sport, and I enjoy going to school. 

In addition to my interest in teaching, my career has been centered in the field of __________. Specifically I have been involved in positions that focus on the treatment and prevention of trauma caused by violence perpetuated against women, men and children. My roles in this field have provided me with experience and insight into the law enforcement and judicial response to crimes causing trauma as well. A newer interest of mine has been in the area of personality and assessment. 

On a personal note, I am married and have two children aged 15 and 12. Some of my hobbies include reading, camping and playing board games with my family and friends. I love music, especially jazz, and am an avid volleyball player. 

I am looking forward to the experience and challenge of teaching and learning online with you. Social psychology is a course that covers a vast amount of information, but due to its nature it is easily applied to our own life and the lives of those around us.
